Annie Young

As an adolescent, Annie observed the positive effect that chiropractic treatment had on her aches and pains. This experience is what drove her to pursue a career in Chiropractic.

In addition to her chiropractic studies she has completed a Masters of Research. Her thesis was in the field of spinal biomechanics and her project evaluated the accuracy of a mechanical device to measure spinal stiffness. Her interest in chiropractic research has continued and she has worked on several projects at Macquarie University and is currently completing a PhD. In addition to clinic and research, she also teaches chiropractic skills and diagnostic imaging at Macquarie University.

As a chiropractor, Annie aims to understand how your pain is limiting your function and develop management strategies to help reduce pain and improve function. These management strategies include manual therapy, education, rehab and self-management strategies.
