Yuleena Cheung, Chiropractor

Yuleena began her studies at the University of Sydney completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in human physiology. With neuromusculoskeletal anatomy and physiology as her key interest, she furthered her studies and graduated with a Master of Chiropractic at Macquarie University.

Yuleena works with the idea that often areas with stiffness, lacking in movement or optimal function may eventually result in injuries or pain. After restoring any faulty biomechanics and poor compensatory motor patterns, Yuleena aims to maintain movement and prevent further injuries with rehabilitation exercises and individualised patient education.  She has a special interest in management of biomechanical neck pain, postural correction and strengthening. Yuleena not only treats spinal pain but also peripheral joint aches and pains as she understands that no one problem is localised to one area. She believes exercise is an integral part in restoring health, spinal function and mobility.

Yuleena also has an interest in women’s health, primarily bone density and strives to educate her patients about the importance of resistance training when it comes to maintaining healthy strong bones. She strength trains herself and knows the benefits firsthand. Her passion and dedication in helping people is further reflected outside of clinic as a volunteer Medical First Responder with St John Ambulance NSW for 5 years. Here she gives back to the community by continuing to educate and promote health to the general public along with providing First Aid and emergency pre-hospital care at events such as City2Surf and the SMH Half Marathon. Yuleena is a qualified sports trainer and has provided and promoted chiropractic care in a wide range of field events including triathlons, cycling events and weekend school sports.

Yuleena is a member of Chiropractic Australia and the Chiropractic and Osteopathic College of Australasia and is registered with WorkCover NSW and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. She has postgraduate training in neurology and is planning to continue further studies in the diagnosis and management of paediatric conditions. Yuleena is well known for her love of landscape photography and animals, particularly rescue canine companions.
